How Replacement Charges are calculated
A tyre which becomes unserviceable due to a condition covered by this workmanship and materials limited warranty will be replaced with a comparable new Apollo Tyres tyre, for a pro rata charge. Apollo Tyres Business partner/Service Engineer will determine the charge by multiplying the percentage of the original usable tread worn by the current selling price at the adjustment location or as per Price List, whichever is lower.
Consumer/user has to pay the cost of mounting/Dmounting, IP filling ,balancing, and any other service charges and applicable taxes.

TIPS FOR CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF TYRES
1. Proper tyre mounting demounting:
- Always mount all tyres of same brand for optimum advantages of radial tyre. Mixed use with bias or different brands in the same vehicle is not recommended.
- Always mount tyre with correct size of rim .
- Always use a new and correct size tube of same brand with a new tyre.
- Always use new tubeless valve while replacing the tyre.
- Always check rim for its flange part free from dirt & rust.
- Rim valve hole should be round & smooth.
- Always ensure no foreign material/object in between tyre, tube and the rim while mounting.
- Always lubricate the tyre beads with recommended soap solution prior to mounting and de-mounting. Never use Greece or any other chemical as lubricant
- Never exceed tyre inflation pressure from 44 Psi (3.0 kg/cm2) to seat the beads.
- Tyre/Wheel concentricity is very important during tyre mounting to avoid imbalances and thereby any kind of irregular wear on the tyre.
- Tyres mounted in duals must be matched so that overall diametrical difference between two tyres should not exceed 6mm.
2. Wheel balancing:
- Always use rims free from any bend/damage.
- Balance the assembly at the time of new tyre fitment or whenever it is de-mounted/mounted on the rim.
- Balance the wheel assembly whenever vibrations are felt during running.
3. Wheel alignment:
- It is recommended to have vehicle alignment checked at every 5000 kms or whenever irregular wear or vehicle pulling is noticed
- If you find uneven wear or any kind of irregular wear on tyres or inside shoulder wearing faster than the outside in front or any kind of rapid wear with sharp edges on rear tyres, it could be due to axle misalignment. Misalignment could affect vehicle handling characteristics and overall life of the tyre too. Ensure vehicle wheel alignment must be done timely to ensure proper tyre wear and vehicle handling
- Incase of any accidental vehicle, it is recommended to have proper alignment setting and OR part replacement from authorized franchisee only
4. Tyre rotation:
- Always ensure to rotate tyre at every 5000 kms or whenever an uneven tread wear is noticed for cars and truck front tyres and 10,000km for Rear/drive Tyres.
- Always follow vehicle manufacturer’s recommended rotation pattern.Always perform rotation of tyres on the axle and on the rim in regular intervals to ensure optimum life and frequent inspection of tyre for any injuries to save life of tyre and ensure safety .
5. Tyre change:
- It is not safe to use tyres once tread wear indicator is exposed i.e. at remaining 1.6 mm tread depth.
- Do not use any tyre with damaged carcass.
6. Inflation pressure maintenance:
- Always maintain inflation pressure as per the recommendation of vehicle manufacturer for optimum tyre performance.
- It is recommended to check inflation pressure in cold condition on at least weekly basis and even more frequently in new tyre for first 3000kms in cars and weekly once in Commercial vehicle tyres. Failure to maintain correct inflation pressure may result in improper vehicle handling and may cause rapid and irregular tire wear, sudden tyre destruction, loss of vehicle control and serious personal injury.
- Always keep fit spare tyres and Keep 5 Psi (0.3kg/cm2) more inflation pressure from the recommendation in spare tyre and reduce it to recommended inflation pressure at the time of usage.
- It is recommended to have 2~3Psi (0.1~0.2kg/cm2) more inflation pressure in tyres of aspect ratio 55 or below for car tyres.
- It is recommended to have 5Psi (0.3kf/cm2) more inflation pressure during driving in express highways at high speed to reduce the flat spotting effect for car tyres
- Underinflation builds up excessive heat in tyre resulting tyre failure. Please do follow correct inflation pressure as per the tyre load carrying capacity mentioned on the sidewall of the tyre. For more information, please contact Apollo tyres field technical service engineer for recommendations apart from mentioned on tyre sidewall.
- Never bleed air from hot tyres which could result in underinflation.
- Always use an accurate and calibrated pressure gauge to check air pressure.
7. Periodic Physical Inspection of Tyres:
- Always check for stone entrapments, leakage signs, penetrations , valve leakage or any kind of wheel damage timely.
- Driving over pot holes, curbs, glass, metal, rocks, wood debris and the like, can damage a tyre and should be safely avoided. In Unavoidable cases, a thorough tyre inspection is mandatory as a precaution.
8. Tyre Usage upto Tread Wear Indicator Only:
Ensure Tyre are being used only upto Tread wear indicator only. Beyond that not safe to use and it may potentially cause damage to casing. Tread wear indicators can be found between blocks/grooves and its locations are specified on tyre shoulder buttress.
9. Tyre Storage:
Tyre should always store in cool, dry and clean indoor places to avoid any kind of weather cracking or dryness on the tyre
10. Valve Cap Usage:
Use Valve caps to all tyres fitted on vehicle to prevent gradual air loss thereby tyre life with safety.
